What Kind of Water is Flooding Your Home?

Did you know there are three categories of water? Each of these categories can flood your home. Category 1 which is clean water, category 2 which is gray water, and category 3 which is black water. Examples of category 1 include water that has come from a clean water source. For example, a hot water heater, washing machine, toilet, shower, dishwasher, or a sink. Category 2 water is called "gray water" which comes from the outside into your home, or category 1 water that has turned into category 2 water due to the fact that it was been sitting for an extended period of time. Category 3 water would be described as black water and would include sewage water.
